Santa Catalina Solar

Specs

Technology: Solar
Capacity: 34.5 MWp
Status: Under construction
Country: Spain
Area: Jaén (Andalucía)

The Santa Catalina solar plant, which is currently under construction, will generate clean energy that will prevent the emission of 18,523 tonnes of CO2 per year – equivalent to avoiding the emissions from 22,600 return flights between Granada-Jaén and Berlin.

In line with its commitment to the environment, we will implement measures to protect local bird species from the risks posed by the electrical installations and will compensate for any loss of nesting habitat. In addition, natural biocorridors will be created and animal shelters installed to protect local wildlife and promote biodiversity.

During construction, BNZ expects to create approximately 57 direct and indirect jobs, boosting local employment. The project will also involve 82 businesses, demonstrating our commitment to supporting the local economy.
