The Muro photovoltaic solar plant, located in the municipality of Trofa in the district of Porto, is one of our most recent projects. With an installed capacity of 28.37 MWp, the plant is expected to generate approximately 43.68 GWh of electricity annually, helping to avoid the emission of over 14,000 tonnes of CO₂ each year.
The Muro project marks a milestone in our expansion strategy in Portugal. Scheduled to begin operations in the second quarter of 2026, it will reinforce our presence in Southern Europe and strengthen our commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The plant is being developed under an Energy Performance Contract (EPC), the first of its kind signed in Portugal, representing a key step in our consolidation in the country.
In addition to its direct contribution to decarbonizing the Portuguese economy, the Muro solar plant aims to generate a positive impact on the local community. During its development and construction, local hiring and the involvement of regional companies will be promoted, thus driving sustainable economic growth in the area.
The execution of this plant is being carried out in collaboration with strategic partners such as Proef, responsible for construction under the EPC model; Andersen, acting as legal advisor; Enertis, as technical consultant; and TripleWatt, the project developer. Cooperation with these partners is enabling us to optimize the project’s technical and financial solutions, ensuring high standards of quality and sustainability.
This project aligns with our goal of reaching a renewable energy portfolio of over 1.7 GW across Europe, positioning us as a key player in the continent’s energy transition.
