Moratalla Solar

Moratalla Solar

Specs

Technology: Solar
Capacity: 36 MWp
Status: In operation
Country: Spain
Area: Moratalla (Murcia)

The Moratalla solar plant, our first project in the Region of Murcia, is currently under development and will make a significant contribution to the region’s renewable energy production. Once operational, the plant will generate clean energy and avoid the emission of approximately 19,000 tonnes of CO2 equivalent per year – the equivalent of eliminating approximately 6,780 return flights between Murcia and Miami.

The construction phase is being executed by Grupotec, with supervision from Vector Renewables and project management led by our company, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are maintained. The initial stage of the project has already made notable progress, with timelines and quality control being efficiently managed by a highly skilled team.

The construction of the Moratalla plant is expected to create around 60 direct and indirect jobs, supporting the local economy.

As part of our commitment to social development in the region, we support initiatives that enhance education. In October 2023, we sponsored the mODStegg project, an educational program in Moratalla developed in collaboration with the University of Murcia and INGENIERÍA ENERGÍA Y CALIDAD AMBIENTAL S.L. (INEQA). This initiative engages primary school students with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through interactive learning and storytelling.
